Driving me Batty

So all the sudden today at work the place just starts picking up volume. I can hear it start way at the other end of my hall and then louder and louder until it finally reaches the other side of my cube. Total pandemonium! There was a bat in the building. This apparently gave all the cubers a reason to get loud and rowdy. There was running and screaming and squawking. What the f?? Is this really the only thing to get excited about. It has been quite the drama. There are the sensitive quizicals: How do we get the bat out? Where did the bat go? Oh, is the poor thing going to die? Bat, bat, bat! Then there are the bat comics: Let's trap him in the microwave, So-n-so will catch him, he already has rabies. Let's not forget the Scarlet's :Oh Rhett how will I eva concentrate on my work if this bat does not manage to set itself free, hold me I'm frightened. It is really bringing out all the players around here. And I guess for once I'm Debbie downer because I'm just looking at everyone like they are complete morons with nothing better to do.

Oh Madge!

So I watched the awards last night and it started out with quite a bang. I just love Madge's new look. She is incredible and the 70s look is really cool on her. Not sure I'm going to go out and cut my hair into wings, but I can't lie when I was watching that it crossed my mind. I have a hair appointment of Friday, so let's hope this gets out of my system. Don't worry the leotard will not become a part of my wardrobe. Her new video come out next week and I have to find access to MTV to get a look. In addition, the U2/Mary J duet on "One" was moving. I heard it again on the radio this morning and Mary brought out the steering wheel beating in me.

That's Brilliant

Fantastic Friday it was. Lisa came in for a goodbye and that she did with her traditional influence on me spending too much money on shoes and such. But, it was all good and I'm never sorry to add a new fabulous pair of overly priced shoes.

We lounged, shopped, and saw "Match Point" Which was really good, but really too long for the point that it made. It had that creepy Irish guy from "Bend it like Beckham" in it. He acts weird to me. But, anyway the whole English thing really makes me want to change my vocab. I love when they same stuff like "That's Brilliant" Definitely could use some positive brilliancy in my life so, add phrase to spice up conversation.

So I had a great weekend full of accomplishment, interesting conversation, and I managed to spend Super Bowl Sunday sans Super Bowl. It was simply Brilliant!
